We recommend the full day tour for a first overview
of Cape Town. In case your time is very limited we
also offer a half-day tour.
We will collect you in the morning at your accommodation
in Cape Town (half day tour can also start early
afternoon) and return you after the tour. Alternatively
we can drop you off at the V & A Waterfront.
Both tours take you up Signal Hill, offering a fantastic
view over the city and Table Bay. Alternatively you
can take the cableway up to Table Mountain, depending
on weather conditions (not included in our price).
The routes now take us downtown, first we visit
the Bo-Kaap quarter, home of Cape Malays. Afterwards
we have a tour at the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest
existing building in Cape Town and home of the Military
Museum and the William Fehr Collection.
From the Castle we pass the City Hall of Cape Town
on the way to the Company Gardens. We will take a
walk in this beautiful garden in the centre of the
city and view several historic buildings, including
the Houses of Parliament, the South African Museum
and the National Gallery.
After our walk we take you to Adderley Street, the
main shopping area and to Greenmarket Square, well
known for its African art and souvenir market.
We continue towards the harbour to have a walk through
V&A Waterfront with its shops, restaurants and
entertainment situated around a working harbour.
Guests of the half-day tour must decide now if they
want to stay at the V&A Waterfront or to be dropped
off at their accommodation.
Guests of the full day tour can choose one of the
following options:
- You can take the ferry to Robben Island for
a tour of the island and the jail where Nelson
Mandela was imprisoned for 17 years (price not
included).
- Back in Cape Town we then travel to Sea Point,
Clifton and Camps Bay to view several of the wonderful
beaches of Cape Town. From Camps Bay we take you
back to your accommodation.
- Alternative to Robben Island we visit the
world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens,
with its collection of plants of indigenous Southern
African plants, as well as unique plants from all
over the world. One of the highlights is the protea,
the national flower of South Africa.
From Kirstenbosch we drive through forest to Hout
Bay, a beautiful town with lots of restaurants. Instead
of Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden you can visit "World
of Birds" in Hout Bay, the biggest bird park
in Africa with more than hundred enclosures you can
walk through.
Our route takes us now via the beaches of Camps
Bay, Clifton and Sea Point back to your accommodation
in Cape Town.
