The right
tour for you, if you want to see the southernmost point
of the African continent and do not want to spend more
time than one day (about 11 hours) on tour.
In the morning we pick you up at your accommodation
in Cape Town and travel through the Winelands to
Worcester and the Breede River Valley. We follow
the valley via Robertson to Bonnievale, from there
we continue to Bredasdorp. There you can visit the
Shipwreck Museum.
From Bredasdorp we take you to Cape Agulhas. Cape Agulhas
is not only the southernmost point of the African continent,
it is also the place where the two oceans meet. You will
see the signs indicating the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.
We will also visit the only Lighthouse Museum in South
Africa.
From Cape Agulhas we travel
on a gravel road to Elim. Elim is an old mission village
with beautiful old houses, the mission church and a
water mill, most of the village is a national monument.
Between Elim and Napier we are still on the gravel
road and turn back to a paved road that takes us
to Caledon and the huge fruit farms around Grabouw
up on Sir Lowry´s
Pass. From the top of the pass you will have a fantastic
view of False Bay, the Cape Flats and Table Mountain.
We drive through the Cape Flats back to your accommodation
in Cape Town.
