(2
days
including
one night accommodation)
The right tour for you, if you want to see the southernmost
point of the African continent at your leisure and
also see some parts of our beautiful natural environment.
Day 1:
In the morning we collect
you at your accommodation in Cape Town and travel
through the Winelands via Worcester on the way through
the Breede River Valley. We drive down the valley
via Robertson to Bonnievale, and from there we travel
south to Bredasdorp. In Bredasdorp you can visit
the Shipwreck Museum.
From Bredasdorp we go to Cape Agulhas. Cape Agulhas
is not only the southernmost point of Africa, it
is also the place where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic
Ocean meet. We will visit the only Lighthouse Museum
in South Africa. Afterwards we go back to Bredasdorp
where we will stay overnight.
Day 2:
After breakfast we drive
to De Hoop Nature Reserve on a gravel road. On the
reserve is a unique landscape with very high dunes
of white sand on the shore of the Indian Ocean; the
reserve also boasts more than 150 different kinds
of birds. There is no paved road which lead to this
Nature reserve and it is far away from tourism routes,
therefore you can relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
From De Hoop we drive through wheatfields to Swellendam,
the third oldest town in South Africa. In Swellendam
we will have a short walk through historic parts
of town before we continue via Caledon and the big
fruit farms around Grabouw to Sir Lowry´s Pass.
From the top of the pass you will have a fantastic
view of False Bay, the Cape Flats and Table Mountain.
We drive through the Cape Flats back to your accommodation
in Cape Town.
